Congratulations, Dean Rogge!
The Garfield County Conservation District would like to congratulate Dean Rogge on completing two successful terms as President of the Montana Association of Conservation Districts (MACD).
Dean’s leadership, dedication, and passion for conservation have made a lasting impact not only at the state level, but right here at home as he has been serving on the Garfield County Conservation District board going into his 25th year. His commitment to Montana’s land, water, producers, and the young generation of our community is something we are incredibly proud of. Serving two terms as MACD President is no small accomplishment, and it speaks volumes about his integrity, work ethic, and respect among conservation districts, producers, and leadership roles across the state.
We are grateful for the time, many miles, energy, and heart Dean has poured into this role, and we are proud to have him represent Garfield County. Thank you, Dean, for your outstanding service and leadership!

The Garfield County Conservation District is now accepting applications for an Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Watercraft Inspection Station Worker for the 2026 season!
If you enjoy working outdoors, protecting Montana’s waters, and interacting with the public, this could be a great seasonal opportunity for you.
Pay: $20/hour
Schedule: Flexible, 10–16 hour days
Season: March–October 2026
Location: Wibaux, Montana (Mileage Pay for up to 40 miles/day)
Requirements: Valid driver’s license & car insurance

The Garfield County Conservation District is now accepting applications for a Noxious Weed Sprayer for our Noxious Weed Spraying Program!
This is a great opportunity for a qualified applicator to work directly with local producers, helping manage noxious weeds on private lands through our cost-share program. If you’re experienced, licensed, and have your own spraying equipment, we’d love to visit with you.

The Garfield County Conservation District will also have our tree order forms ready and available! You can take forms home to plan your own tree shelter belt or place your tree order that day. The sooner you order, the better selection you’ll have!
