Board Meeting
Garfield County Conservation District Board Meeting being held on April 3, 2025 at the USDA Service Center at 307 Main Street Jordan, MT 59337
Meeting will take place at 4:30 p.m.
All meeting are open to the public unless stated other wise that their will be a closed section of the meeting for employee performance.
Pollinators Educational Class
The Garfield County Conservation District and MSU Extension Agency are bringing you a Pollinators Educational Class
with Shelley Mills, MSU Extension Agent, to talk on Gardening for Pollinators and Planning and Plants for Pollinators
also presenting are Nick and Jamie Clark with Clark Honey on the producer side of Pollinators and the benefits of having pollinators on your land.
Their will be more to come as we get closed to the event!
Calving Seminar

The Garfield County Conservation District and MSU Extension Agency partnered to bring you this Calving Seminar training.
The event will be held at the County Meeting Room on Friday; March 28, 2025 starting at 2:00 p.m. We are not 100% when it will get over, it may be a one hour class or a four hour class it just depends on how involved the producers want to be.
The presenter for the class is Becca Woodford and Stella the Calving Simulating Cow from Crazy Mountain Veterinary teaching calving tips and tricks.
Board Meeting
The Garfield County Conservation District is having their monthly board meeting on Thursday; March 6, 2025 @ 2:30 p.m.
The board meeting is held in the Jordan USDA Service Center Building at 307 Main Street Jordan MT 59337.
ALL MEETINGS are open to the public unless a section of the meeting is needing to be closed, that will be stated at the meeting.
Out of Office
The administrator will be out of office as business has to be attended in Wibaux for AIS WIS Interviews.
Please call the office and leave a message if you need anything, they will be answered before the end of the day the 27th.
AIS WIS Applications DUE
The AIS WIS Applications are due back to the Administrator in office by Friday; February 21, 2025 at 4:30 p.m.
If their is something that comes about and you can not get it back on that exact date please give the office a call and we will work with you on that situation.

Your administrator will be out of the office Monday; February 17, 2025 as it is a federal holiday; President’s Day.

All Conservation District meetings are open to public unless other wise stated that they will be a closed meeting.

Educational Opportunity - Sheep Seminar
The Garfield County Conservation District and MSU Extension Agent have been partnering to bring all producers educational opportunities, February is the month for Sheep!
For the February meeting we will be doing a Sheep Seminar that will be held at the County Meeting Room in the Old Library Building from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.! Soup and Sandwiches to Follow!

The Garfield County Conservation District, FSA, NRCS, MSU Extension, and Bird Conservancy of the Rockies are hosting a dessert and discussion with all producers in Garfield County!

MACD Convention
Your local Conservation District Administrator and NRCS DC will be out of office to attend the annual Montana Association of Conservation District convention in Great Falls, MT.
You can leave a message at the office with Reece Billing, Bird Conservancy of the Rockies, or call the phone and leave a message.
If you are looking for tree order forms they are on the desk and you are more than welcome to grab them!
CMR CWG Meeting
The Garfield County Conservation District is hosting a CMR CWG Meeting on October 29, 2024 at The Summit Corral in the back room from 10: 00 - 3:00 to talk about Rangeland Monitoring.
The meeting is open to the public and will be $5.00/person for the lunch that is provided.
Agenda and what will be talked about will be attached here when completed so be on the lookout for that.

Conservation Kids' Day
The Garfield County Conservation District is hosting a Conservation Kids’ Day with the Kindergarten - 6th Graders in the Jordan Elementary School.
It is being held in the Multi Purpose Room in the Garfield County District High School.
