The Garfield County Conservation District rents out a No-Till Drill for the producers in the community. We run a No-Till Drill for the purpose of conservation. No-till planting can provide many benefits to the soil & growing crop. It reduces disturbances to the soil structure and keeps residue on top of the soil to armor it from wind and rain. No-tilling cover crops can add diversity, living roots, and residue to your fields during times a cash crop is not growing.

The No-Till Drill is a deposit of $500.00 before renting. The price is based on acreage it is $8.00/ worked ground and $10.00/ native ground per acre. If the price of the actual planting is less than deposit made, you will get deposit check back and a new check can be written. And if the cost of planting is more than the deposit check you can take deposit check back and rewrite the new one or you can just write a new check for the difference. You need to be available to come in before renting the drill to fill out a rental agreement form and making the deposit.
